Man Flu Update!

So 2 weeks in and man fly has reared it's ugly head again. I'm dying.

The scratch build operation was a complete and utter failure. The clay hardened, cracked and ripped open the foam board. Think I might cut my losses and accept I'm no artist.

Got a sweet doubles game in of FoW using the new Atlantik Wall book. I used a 21st panzer list. We faced 2 forces from the overlord book and let me say naval gunfire is rude and so cheesy. King Tiger dies first time hit. Germans still won the day!

Had hoped to work on my coldwar forces only to find all the BMPs from QRF have snapped barrels FML. Will have to scratch build some now.

Brings me to now, here's a quick pick of the little hobby I got done whilst dying from man flu blues.

Cheers

Scratch building

So...
I'm in love with the film Elysium.
I've decided I'm going to try and scratch build the raven gunship from the films in 15mm. First scratch build ever, should be fun or a disaster!

The Raven

Knocked up the basic shape this arvo, it's quick rough and pretty crap at the moment. As I go along hopefully it takes shape. I plan to bulk it out in foam board then clad it in plasticard. From there ill use milliput to smooth it out and if need be cast it my self. The plan anyway.

Also picked up this bad boy for my 15mm scifi.

Slow and Steady

Have slowly made my way through the Dystopian Wars French starter. Still crook as a dog, getting better also slowly.

Took the wife out in a date last night to see Elysium, was AMAZEBALLS. Some really awesome scifi elements. Really really hope someone makes some sculpts in 15mm of humans in exoskeletons. Copley is also the MAN!
It's joost a flesh woond! Lolz

Also couldn't help myself and made a purchase from ravenstar studios this week. Hopefully the arrive soon for some 15mm sci fi goodness. Don't know how I missed that vendor, so much awesomeness there. Think ill be grabbing some of the BSG ships as well in the near future ad the large broadsword ship.

Special thanks to mwnciboo for highlighting my blog over at Stopping The Red Tide. Hopefully I should finish some Cold War stuff soon.

Hope all are well.

Viva la France

Finished these French cruisers today. About 2 hrs work all up. Fairly happy with them. Not sure about the standard base though, might change it up to something textured.
