My eyes bleed

Have to give credit to the guys that do micro scale modeling. 1/2400 is my first foray into micros and wow my eyes are hurting already. Another ship arrived today, a Ticonderoga guided missile cruiser. Bit disappointed with the cast of this one, the bow was twisted and warped and the mold line through the top of the ship is horrible. The Burke has a small mold line through the top but wasn't as noticeable as this one. Still there cheap and overall pretty nice.

Had a crack at painting the Burke this arvo, did the deck in a darker gray and stacks in black. Glossed it in prep for a pin wash of Ak interactive NATO black wash. Hoping it goes well and makes it pop a bit. Any advice for painting tiny ships is welcome.

Cheers

From Russia with love!

Good Morning peeps, got some airbrushing this morning done after the kids and I got home from walking.
I used a lighter green this time and happy with the results. Below you can see a finished T80 using the darker green.
Hope you like them, maybe not 100% historically accurate but good enough for me.

Cheers

This is what I was aiming at

Progress is made!!

Hullo!!!
Did everyone watch the season finally of Game of Thrones? Amazeballs, thoroughly enjoyed it and with it ending the new season of Falling Skies beings FIZZZZZZZZZ.

This after noon I pretty much finished of my chieftains and swingfires. Took the pictures before the wet pigments went on.
Still awaiting on another troop of chieftains from Qrf.

Got another troop of T80s primed and ready and the BHQ MTLB.

A nice yet tiny package arrived today!
My first of many 1/2400 modern naval ships. This is a Arleigh Burke class from CinC miniatures. Not to bad but soooooo tiny, took a pic next to a infinity model.
Primed and ready!

So that's it for the hobby side today.
Watched Monsters Inc for the first time today with my 2 yr old son, he loved it. Not a bad movie at all.
Today was also the big E3 gaming announcements and WOWzers were they good!
PS4 looks to be the winner IMHO at this stage with Tom Clancy's "The Division" and Metal Gear Solid V being my highlights.

Hope everyone else had a nice day too.
Cheers

Phew

So if your still with me that concludes our trip down memory lane. We are in the present now with my latest project, 15mm Cold War! The excellent blog Stopping the Red Tide is what sold me on 15mm Cold War, The amount of effort and detail that has gone into that project is awesome sauce.

My own journey with CW starts with collecting two factions BAOR and Soviet Guards. I've so far brought enough models to run 2000pts apiece and I am in the process of painting it all up. I'm hoping to get some interest at my local club. all the models are from QRF and I believe the quality is comparable to Battlefronts offerings.

Flames of War SS Panzer

My Flames of war SS panzer force.

Bolt Action

My SS Bolt Action force. Was such a PITA to paint. Wasn't a huge fan of the game play of BA so the SS and I parted ways.

15mm Sci fi

Some of my 15mm scifi. purchased from Khurasan Miniatures. I intend to use Gruntz or Tomorrows War for these guys.
